UK Minigolf Major Competitions Results Archive
This site features past seasons' results from the UK major minigolf championships: The British Open, British Championship and World Crazy Golf Championships.
Its purpose is to provide a statistical record of the major competitions held in the UK since the BMGA's formation in 1998. The results lists demonstrate the growing professionalism and skill with which the sport is played in this country, reflected in the dramatic improvement in scores right the way down the field. In 1999, the average score by the best British player at the British Open was just under 40. By 2010, on the same course, it had fallen to a little over 33. Thomas Zeininger, who won the 1999 British Open, would have finished only eighteenth in 2010, based on his average 18-hole score in 1999.
It will be fascinating to see how many of today’s leading players are still active on the Tour ten or twelve years from now, and whether the playing standards continue to improve.
